Well, Dolls. you could hardly expect a very communicative person like myself to keep it all to myself now could yas? So jus like Anne-Louise (my niece who tinks she’s a star!) I’ll be doin some talkin right here, whenever the fancy takes me to share a piece of advice, or a new recipe, or an idea I got from who know where! Here’s something from that neice of mine Anne-Louise about complaining…but I get to tell youse how I deal wid it at the end…
”COMPLAINING, WE ARE ALL EXPERTS”
Complaining Complaining Complaining! I am so GOOD at that. No use saying if complaining could earn you money and fame; I would be famous and rich!! (Or DO people become famous and rich by complaining?)
No matter, complaining makes one feel powerless with no choices. Who likes to feel like that? Why do I do it then? Why do any of us do it? Must be force of habit because I know we don’t LIKE feeling miserable. And we are meant for JOY not misery, this I believe with all my heart and soul.
Recently when I found myself complaining about fact that our living room gets little sun in the late afternoon, I realized that as I go ON and ON about that issue, I feel so cranky. CHANGE YOUR STORY Anne-Louise, just stop and change those words you habitually tell yourself. After all, this is what I speak about …in public no less!
And you know it worked! I choose a whole new way to think about this and boy do I feel better. Seems so simple, doesn’t it? Too simple to be true. Surely it ought to be more complicated otherwise I would have stopped complaining long ago!
Here is good news…no blame, no guilt…we are all on the path, none of us are perfect and we can ALWAYS CHOOSE AGAIN…from this minute on. And when we slip down into the funnel of moaning and groaning, we stop, take a breath and change our story.
We take responsibility for our part in creating a joyful vibrant life. YES! Aunt Lena of course has some pithy words to say about this so listen in by clicking on COMPLAINING AND MY PART!
