Library Programs

Anne Louise loves to bring her special brand of fun to your local library! All of her programs can be tailored to suit a particular age group or she can draw on her broad range of songs and stories to entertain all ages. If Aunt Lena comes along, you better watch out! There’s no telling how boisterous things will get!

Here are just a sample of the many programs Anne Louise has performed in libraries around the country:

Animal Crackers

Young learners will step into a marvelous menagerie of animal music and stories with Anne-Louise and her unique assistant Sometimes Bob. Introducing the exciting world of nature, this program encourages a love of science and the environment by opening their eyes to the wonders of their own backyards. An experience not to be missed!

Little Tall Tales

Fish that make good cycling companions? Dogs that talk? Preschoolers love nonsensical and whimsical storytelling. Anne-Louise presents famous tall tales and gets budding storytellers thinking about what makes a good story as well as what it means to have a good imagination! This program encourages early reading, storytelling basics and creativity.

Taller Tall Tales

Good ol’ storytelling with a serious twist! Tall tales turn your world upside down and back again to get you looking around with an eye for the hilarious…and impossible.

It’s Your World After All

Get your budding environmentalism streak energized with this fantastic program of folktales and songs about caring for our natural world. It’s not just cool to recycle and plant trees, many cultures believe it’s vital to the survival of us all. A great companion program to Trail Tales.

Lewis, Clark and Lena

School age and upwards will enjoy the untold story of Lena the Italian Girl and her part in the Lewis & Clark expedition. Think you can’t remember history? You will after hearing Aunt Lena teach you the ‘real’ facts of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

Trail Tales

Stories to tell and songs to sing to while away the long, hot hours on the trail and to keep your family’s spirits high around the nighttime campfire- or butane burner. Trail tales will get your feet movin’ to a new rhythm and your eyes lookin’ for the next new adventure.

String Stories

String- it isn’t just for shoe-tying anymore! String stories will bring you on a magical journey around the world, using just your fingers and some yarn. Expand on the old cat’s-cradle that your grandma taught you and learn how cultures worldwide use string to tell important stories.

A hilarious program of songs and stories to keep you squealing! You’ll hear tall tales from old to new and some ridiculous songs to keep you laughing all the way home.

Italian Stew

Itsa gonna make you smile, itsa gonna make you laugh, itsa gonna make you feel good! Anne-Louise shares bits of her Italian heritage in a series of songs and stories centered around Anthony, the little Italian kid from Joisey- New Joisey, that is. And watch out, Aunt Lena just might join the party to teach you how you gotta make your own gravy!
